Hey gals! Sorry I missed Friday’s blog post, but alas, I have a new post for you today. I hope you had a super awesome Thanksgiving. Sadly, it’s now verrrry much a Monday—it’s always so hard to come back to a full week after a really short one. Anyway, I was going to title this post “My Birthday Suit (No, Not That One)” but I decided that was a little too…eye catching…for a title, if you know what I’m saying. 😉
I always find it interesting to know what other people wear on their birthdays—after all, you want to feel uber fantastic and special, don’t you?! So that’s why I decided to share why I chose this particular outfit for my birthday.
- I wanted to wear this off-white blouse from Loft because POLKA DOTS. Enough said. (But also, I just really like the sheer detailing on the sleeves and it’s super comfy.)
- I chose black skinnies because you can never go wrong with those, and they’re my favorite pants.
- The outfit needed some pizazz, so I added pops of pink with the bold statement necklace, Pandora bracelet, and blush sneakers.
My ultimate goal for the outfit was looking cute but also being super comfortable. That’s why I leaned on the more casual side and dressed it up with fun accessories. I did feel great in this outfit on my special day!
As a birthday gift, my mom bought me a curling iron, which I’ve never tried before. I can actually count on two hands (well, maybe with a few additional fingers) the number of times I’ve curled my hair, and all of those were with good ol’ fashioned curlers. So the hair you see in these photos is the result of my first attempt at using a curling iron—it was definitely way harder than I imagined! Haha. I basically just ended up with some added texture. Better luck next time, am I right?
Also, it was freezing when we took these pictures, so that’s why I’m so hunched over…and not super into it, haha.
