Hey there! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I spent the days crafting away (I’m making a bunch of greeting cards) and eating dinner outside with my family. 🙂 Today is the second day of my 4th of July outfit inspo miniseries, so here we go!

Where to Wear: I wore this look a few weeks ago when I was in Las Vegas to explore some of the hotels (especially the Bellagio, where these pics were taken!) and go out to a nice breakfast with a large group. In terms of the upcoming holiday, this outfit is perfect for girly girls and those who like to dress up for holidays, or any occasion for that matter. This is the perfect look for the cutesy girl who still wants to be comfy in shorts rather than a skirt or dress.

Shop Your Closet: In case you missed the last post, “Shop Your Closet” is something new I’m starting to spark ideas for how you can recreate similar outfits with items already in your closet. I do this by listing things such as patterns, colors, or styles you can search for within your own clothing collection to get a similar look.

For the blouse, consider cute t-shirts in white, red, light grey, or blue (navy, lightly colored, chambray, etc.). Tank tops would work also. For the shorts, look at any patterned bottoms you have in your closet, or consider white shorts/jeans or denim cut-offs. Even a patterned skirt (think small floral prints or stripes) would work. Any neutral sandal would look great with this (tan/beige strappy sandals or slides) or flats. Again, don’t forget to accessorize with a purse, sunglasses, and nail polish.

What’s your favorite thing about the upcoming holiday? I think mine is watching the fireworks when there happens to also be a summer thunder storm (which doesn’t happen that often!). One of my favorite memories was at a beach house on the 4th with fireworks going off all along the water, and Mother Nature decided to put up a light show of her own. It was absolutely magical. 🙂

Have a great Monday—let’s be super productive this week. 😉

Miles of smiles,

Grace
