To Shave or Not to Shave? That is the Question

I saw something in my news feed yesterday about a woman who decided to stop shaving her underarms and legs and has now been hair-full for a whole year. It made me wonder what you think about this topic. Do you shave for a boyfriend/because it seems to be society’s standards/for other reasons? Or do you not shave because you don’t care at all what other people think? Let’s discuss, and let’s forgive me for the fuzzy photos. (I had my dad snap these pics really quickly last night on his phone.)

Personally, I do shave my legs and armpits. Part of it is because yes, I don’t want to look different by embracing natural hair. But more importantly, I do it because it just makes me feel cleaner. That doesn’t mean I’m saying people who don’t shave are dirty, I just personally prefer that clean feeling of a smooth leg. Either way though, I feel like it’s a lose-lose situation. I shave, and I get razor burn. I don’t shave, and I get super itchy. It boils down to picking the lesser of two evils. In the winter though, I definitely don’t shave for weeks at a time… since I know my legs won’t see the light of day! It is nice to not spend time on shaving, so I can sympathize with both sides of the argument. What do you do? Do you prefer to shave or not? We’re getting real juicy here today. 😉

I wore this look last night for a fun night on the town. We listened to live music, ate lots, and explored some art galleries. It was a blast, and this outfit turned out to be the perfect combo because it was a bit chilly. In other news, look how freakishly long my arms appear in this picture! 😀 It caused my mom to snort with laughter. She said they should send me back to Pandora with the blue people. It’s okay though, it’s not like I have feelings or anything.
