Why You Should Buy A Quilted Vest

Hey guys! I recently bought this bright red/scarlet vest on sale and realized I love quilted vests so much that I needed to do a post on them. I love this particular one (I have the same vest in maroon, seen here) because it looks just like those super cute JCrew vests that you see all over Pinterest, except mine is a fraction of the cost and from Francesca’s. 🙂 I wore this sporty outfit to school the other day when it was 60 degrees out, but it would also be perfect for running errands or going to a sporting event. Ok now, some reasons why you need a quilted vest!

Perfect Layering Piece. I never used to understand vests—I always thought they were silly since they don’t have sleeves to keep you warm. But now that I have a few, I totally get it. Vests are the perfect layering piece because they give you extra warmth without causing overheating like a huge coat; that’s what makes vests so great for wearing inside where the AC and the heater fight for attention (or maybe that’s just in my school?!). Also, they add the cutest element and finishing touch to any fall/winter/spring outfit that needs a little something extra.

Great for Transitional Outfits. Vests are usually such a fall thing, but who says you can’t wear them for spring? If you have one in a bright color, like mine, then it can totally work for these upcoming months. Vests are perfect for when the seasons are changing because they’ll provide you with just the right amount of warmth without overdoing it.

Allow You to Showcase Your Top. I love this about vests. You can wear a cute top with a vest and still have people see it. I love coats, but I always feel like then you can’t see my pretty blouse underneath it. Solution: vests. You can wear that cute top and have people actually see it and get extra warmth at the same time. It’s a win win win. 🙂

On Major Sale Right Now. Since quilted vests are sold in the winter, most of them are on major sale right now! I bought mine from Francesca’s for a little less than half the original price. This particular one isn’t on their website anymore, but you could probably find similar vests on the sale rack in a store.

Have I convinced you to go out and buy a quilted vest yet?! I mean, how could that picture of me pretending to swim not convince you…;) Or perhaps you are in the “know” and have a vest already… 🙂 Anyways, have a great rest of your Wednesday and thanks so much for stopping by today!

Miles of smiles,

Grace
