4 Ideas for Wearing Coral This Summer

I’ve been having some major spring fever these last few days, and with that, I’ve been craving brighter colors to wear. I noticed this really pretty coral lace dress in the store the other day, and it reminded me of how much I love coral in the spring and summer. It’s such a fun and unexpected color, and it works great for people like me (who like to wear blush but can’t wear it because it washes me out) since coral is more vibrant. This sweater is really the only coral item I own at the moment, and it’s not super bright coral, it’s more of a salmon. But hey, you make do with what you’ve got. Anyways, I wanted to accompany these pictures with four coral dresses and ways to style them for the summer. Talk about wishful thinking. 🙂

First thing’s first, I wore this outfit to school the other day and then out to dinner. This has been a go-to outfit of mine for years; I love pairing this cowl-neck blouse with the sweater. It was much colder when I wore this outfit, so I promise it was more fitting for the temperatures then than it would be now. 🙂

Go for the boho vibe. Finding a coral item with bell sleeves or crochet will help you achieve a more boho-inspired look, and I think this shade looks great with that style! This dress is really pretty with its sleeves and the slight crochet detail. Pair it with wavy hair and your bangs pulled into braids, a flower crown headband, tassel earrings, or lace-up sandals to create your perfect bohemian look. Wear it to a concert or a picnic in the park!

Rock the casual weekend look. Style your favorite coral piece with a jean jacket and white jeans for spring, or try some cut-off jean shorts and a boater hat in the summer. This casual dress would be perfect for running weekend errands, and you can pair it with gladiator sandals and your favorite crossbody bag. Don’t forget the topknot!

Wear it to work. To style a coral item for work, keep the materials in mind and opt for something made of a slightly more structured fabric. Pair with a blazer and heels, or you could wear a white cardigan and nude flats, which would look great with this dress.

Dress the look up for a night out. Pick fun details, like cold shoulders or a pretty back, to make your coral piece perfect for date night. This dress is cute and would look great with a tan; pair it with your hair down, long beaded earrings, and embellished sandals/heels.

Hope you liked these tips to wear coral this spring and summer! Meanwhile, I’ll just be over here wishing for warmer weather so I can replace this cardigan and outfit with a pretty dress…;)

Miles of smiles,

Grace
