Tips for Wearing Green on St. Patty’s Day When Green Isn’t Your Color

I like to wear green (as seen here, here, and here), but I realize that not every woman may feel this way. But of course we can’t risk getting pinched on St. Patrick’s Day, so we put up with the color for one day. I wore this green look many weeks ago to school, but it’s also perfect for any winter activities if you throw a coat on, since this look is warm. Today I’m going to share 4 simple ways to wear green this March 17th, like I did, without going overboard or feeling like it’s out of place! Enjoy, ladies. 🙂

Wear it in your accessories. Like in today’s outfit, you can style green in a subtle way by incorporating it in hats, scarves, purses, shoes, jewelry, and even nail polish. Maybe look for some green ribbon to quickly tie in your hair so you have just enough of the color. You don’t need to wear head-to-toe green, or even a green article of clothing!

Wear it with neutrals. Also like today’s outfit, I paired the green scarf with a neutral sweater. The beige color and green actually look really nice together! If green isn’t your thing, the easiest way to style it is by wearing it with colors you love and are familiar with, such as black, white, cream, denim, or grey.

Wear a unique shade. Kelly green seems so popular around St. Patty’s Day, but you don’t have to wear an extra bold hue to be seen! Consider mixing it up by wearing olive or a dark military green; it’s unexpected and can be easier to style.

Pair it with your favorite color/clothing item. This is the easiest tip. If you feel uneasy about green, pair it with something you absolutely love to boost your confidence. 🙂

Hope these tips were helpful to you! I’d love to know what you’re planning to wear on the holiday, so let me know in the comments below. Have a great weekend everyone!
