Bedazzled

Happy late Valentine’s Day! I had all these fun red and pink outfits planned, but I didn’t get the chance to photograph them before the big day. I’ll still share them eventually. As for now, I’ve got this pretty bedazzled skirt from Francesca’s. 🙂

These pictures were taken at a cancer pavilion that provides motivational words and tips for anyone battling cancer. My photographer and I both thought it was really well done!

I enjoyed pretending this metal ball was that famous bean sculpture in Chicago. 🙂

This outfit started with the boots. Then I picked the sweater, which was a hand-me-down that I hadn’t worn yet and wanted to try. It’s got that oversized look, which I usually would recommend pairing with tight bottoms to balance it out. But instead I went for this A-line skirt. What do you guys think? Does it work? I ended up getting a lot more compliments on the outfit than I expected. I think the fact that the sweater is short sleeved really helps. If it had been long-sleeved or I had worn tights, then it would be too much fabric that adds to my frame.

I also tried out styling these fun polka dot socks. I thought they looked really cute with the boots!

I’m thinking of doing a new thing like “I Spy” in one photo every now and again. There’s something lurking in the background…Can you spot it? This one is really hard to see, but the other ones will be easier. I just like the idea of engaging my audience more, and who doesn’t love “I Spy” (as in the really fun books, not the game you play when you’re bored and your brother always picks that obscure speck on the sidewalk)? Oh, the object is a squirrel. Am I supposed to tell you that?
