Sassy Pants

It’s finally Friday! Thank goodness. I don’t know about you guys, but this week has felt really long…Plus I had kind of a weird schedule at school this week so Wednesday felt like a Friday. :/ No fun. Anyways, onto the outfit.

I wore this to school the other day and to mass. It’s also great for work or some sort of professional event. I LOVE these trousers. I got them on Black Friday and this was the first time I wore them. (Is anyone else weird like that and wait to wear their new clothes? I don’t know why, but I always end up procrastinating with new pieces.) They’re kind of a weird material that feels almost spongy, which is actually so nice. They are so flexible instead of the usual stiff and uncomfortable work pants. Also, you can’t beat a fun print, in my opinion.

I decided for the first time out with these pants that I would go simple and keep the color scheme black and white. I think a lot of people shy away from printed pants because they draw attention to your hips and other common “problem areas”, and they can sometimes be hard to style. I don’t know about you, but I definitely have way more printed tops than plain ones, so it can be hard to find something solid colored to match. That’s why my number one tip to style printed trousers is to go neutral! Since my pants are already black and white, that wasn’t hard to do…But even if your pants have color, they will most likely go with grey, black, white, or brown. Keeping a neutral color scheme is a great way to ease into a new style and really let those statement pants shine. 🙂

Also, Graceful Rags is now on Facebook! I know guys, I’m a little late to the party…Anyways, you’ll have to bear with me as I figure out how it works. But you can follow me by clicking the new Facebook button on the side bar next to my Pinterest and Instagram handles, or by clicking here.
