Made it to the weekend! Yes! I’m keeping things short today because I totally forgot that I still needed to write a post for today…

I bought this shirt (along with a nice jacket) at a Cabi stylist party. If you’re unfamiliar with the Cabi brand, they don’t own any stores. Instead, they have stylists who host trunk shows in their homes. I was fortunate enough to be invited to one by a friend’s friend, and it was SO fun!! There was food and a presentation of that season’s pieces, as well as a trained stylist to help you determine your correct size. Cabi is a lot more expensive than what I usually pay, but it was a fun experience and a treat. I consider it to be paying partly for the event as well—I made fun memories!

Even though this cute top is kind of trendy and not a staple, I can still see it being worn tons of ways (black cargo shorts and white skinny jeans, to name a few). This first time I paired it with black pants and boots (naturally). Since the shirt is on the shorter side, I paired it with a long sweater for warmth. You always want to make sure your proportions are right. If you pair two long things together, like a maxi dress and duster cardigan, you can sometimes look really short and strange. If you pair two short things together, your clothes just look too small on you. That’s why balance is so important.

And a funny pic. Did anyone notice my camouflage necklace? Have a fantastic weekend!

P.S. How cute is this retro hair clip from JCrew that I got for Christmas?
