Sparkly Espadrilles

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Sadly, it was my last weekend of summer and today is my first day back at school. I’m so not ready for summer to be over yet!

I wore this outfit to an Avett Brothers concert a few weeks back. The concert was outside so I wanted to wear something that would keep me cool. I considered wearing pants so that I wouldn’t get eaten alive by mosquitoes, but I ultimately decided against it. I’m so glad I did because it ended up being a really hot night! And luckily I didn’t get any bug bites either. It was a win-win.

Have any of you heard of the Avett Brothers? I went to the concert with my mom after our friend gave us her tickets last minute. My mom and I had only heard of two of their songs going into the concert, but I definitely have quite a few to get on my iPod now! It was a really enjoyable evening and I loved their music. Sometimes I think it’s more fun going to a concert when you only know a few songs because then you get to discover a bunch of new music.

I just got these shoes a few days ago. I actually wore the black sandals from this post to the concert, but I decided to slip these babies on for some pictures. These espadrilles are kind of funky, and I wasn’t sure what I was going to wear them with when I bought them. I think they’re so cute though and have now planned lots of outfits around them. For some reason I couldn’t find the sparkly ones on DSW’s website, so I linked to the same pair in a different color. DSW has some other really cute espadrille options though, so you should definitely check them out.
