Lavender and Lace

Good morning! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I know I did, but it definitely went by too fast!

Sorry for the bad quality of these photos. I took them in the morning and as you can see, the lighting was not very good. I would’ve retaken photos of this outfit, but I actually just gave this dress away. Even though the pics aren’t great, I still wanted to share the outfit since I don’t post a lot of fancy outfits.

This is the same navy lace dress as seen in these posts here and here. I love it because it is so versatile, and I got a lot of wear of it (and still have some posts to share that feature it!). I wore this particular outfit to a Quinceañera, but it would also be great for a summer wedding. Unfortunately, the first time I washed this dress the lace part shrunk, which made the slip part visible at the hem. I was very bummed about it, and the dress just hasn’t fit right since. That’s why I decided it was finally time to give it away.

I love the navy color of the dress, so I bought navy heels to match. I felt like black heels would clash and that was the only color of heels I owned at the time. Turns out, I haven’t gotten a chance to wear these navy heels since! Pink heels probably would’ve been cute too, but I’m always unsure of matching my shoes with my belt. Did anyone ever used to watch the show What Not to Wear? I loved it, but Stacy and Clinton always said that you shouldn’t wear the same color of shoes and belt. So I never have…but I don’t see why not? Pink shoes would’ve been cute. But I still hear their little voices in my head saying not to do it…What do you guys think about it?

Last week I mentioned that I was still setting up a Facebook account and working on adding it in the sidebar at the right. I actually decided not to get a Facebook, so I will be taking that away from the sidebar. However, you can still follow me on Pinterest here or on Instagram here! Have a nice Monday everyone!
