Ready for the Weekend

It’s Friday! It feels so nice to know you’ve made it through the week and that you have a relaxing weekend ahead. I plan on spending some time outside reading and maybe going on a hike. I love just sitting outside on cool summer evenings, whether that be with my favorite book characters or my favorite people. 🙂 Do any of you have fun plans for the weekend?

I wore this outfit a few weeks ago for a going-away party for my friend. It turned out to be the perfect outfit because most of the party was outside in the grass. Wearing shorts allowed me to sit down without having to worry, like I would have if I had worn a dress. I also got a ton of compliments!

Just like my dress in Monday’s post, this top is a great piece to transition from summer to fall. It’s great paired with shorts like I did here (it would also be cute with these shorts), but it will look just as good in the fall with a jean jacket, cuffed black pants, and brown booties. I didn’t think black pants would look good with this top, but I tried it last fall and the brown booties made the outfit work.

I just got these shoes at DSW, and I’m a teensy bit obsessed. I think they are so cute and I love the sparkles! They are also incredibly comfortable. The soles are so squishy and like little pillows for your feet. I totally recommend them, but I couldn’t find them on DSW’s website, which really stinks! They were on sale when I bought them and I also used some rewards money, so they ending up only costing me $19! Now that’s a good buy. 😉

The opening ceremony for the 2016 Summer Olympics is today. Are any of you going to watch it? Let me know in the comments below, and have a great weekend!
